Really?

So I just got home from Gage's conferences. They were pretty much what I expected. We can see his grades anytime on Skyward Family Access so we knew how that was going. The thing I like about conferences is that you get to see how other people see your kid. It seems to be unanimous that Gage is well liked and they all appreciate the fact that he is always one of the first kids to either participate in or start a discussion.

Um... yeah. That's right. My kid is all about the public speaking. His face doesn't turn 20 shades of red. He doesn't lose his words somewhere between his voice box and tongue. He doesn't start shaking at the thought of actually speaking in front of more than two people.

His teachers have all described him as a leader. He was picked to be on the Leadership Council. I'm pretty sure that involves speaking your mind in front of... like the whole school!

I am thrilled that he didn't get my irrational fear.

Now if he could just hurry up and finish with this puberty business!
