So Layla is in the gifted math program. I have not a clue how to do this stuff.
Um... when did I get so old that they stopped teaching math the way that I learned it?!?
I don't get the concepts for solving these problems. I've never been good at math but when they go and change it completely and give the formulas stupid names like "The Post-It Technique"... well, I'm out.
Maybe by the time Layla's kids are in school they will be back to the "old" way that I learned and I can help. Until then I'll just use my calculator and pretend that I'm smarter than a second grader.
