I'd like to think it's all because of me

So my daughter is a genius and I'd like to think that I have everything to do with it. She came home today with an invitation to attend classes at a school for gifted children.  

She works hard, she follows directions, and she likes to learn. It makes me a proud parent ... kinda busting at the seams proud.

In other proud parent news ... after the struggle to get Gage to actually lift a finger and do something around here, Nick decided that Tuesdays will be the one day that Gage has to come straight home from school and do chores ... no hanging with his friends ... and no complaining about it.

He walked in the door today, took the list of jobs I had for him and got to it. Not once did he complain or make a peep. He just turned on his iPod and did what he had to do. Could it be? Is this the start of something new?
