I guess I should have held a grudge

So Gage is grounded. Yep ... the same kid I was just gushing about ... grounded. It's like a roller coaster around here. One minute I am busting at the seams with pride and the next I am mortified with embarrassment at his behavior. So he got good grades ... does that mean he gets to act like an idiot in class after being repeatedly asked to knock it the eff off? Umm ... NO.

He got sent to the principle's office... for the love of God the kid is 13 years old and got sent to the principle's office for disruptive behavior. So he's grounded. Ask me if he cares. Umm ... NO. Ask me if he thinks it was someone else's fault. Umm ... YES, it's always someone else's fault.

Anyway, I sent an email to his teacher to apologize for my kid because I feel like a huge douche. She sends me an email back saying that she would have called us sooner but she really likes Gage and they have a good relationship and that's why she thinks he's not taking her seriously. The trip to the principle's office was to let him know she wasn't kidding. 

Still ... I feel stupid and douche-like and I didn't do anything wrong.
