So Gage refuses to be photographed. It is incredibly annoying but I can't get too pissed because I hate being photographed too. But seriously... I hardly have any pics of him and about 5398475 of Layla and that's probably not too much of an exaggeration. We went to a birthday party today and I had to bribe him so that he would allow himself to be photographed. What a crock of shit. I had to tell him that if he didn't stop covering his damn face and let me take his picture I wouldn't pay for the Valley Fair field trip. He uncovered his face but didn't smile... or try not to look like an idiot.
This photo was taken by Nick while I was in the process of arguing with Gage about how I don't have any pictures of the two of us and I would like to have some sort of proof that we went through his teenage years together. I guess this photo says it all.

I seem to recall a young girl who spent a lot of time with her hands either over her face or held in front of the camera lens. I know just how you feel! It is indeed annoying to have some child think they know way more than you will ever know. But.... there will come a day of reckoning when that same child will have a child of their own. This photo certainly will LET HIM KNOW you tried, and that he was a frustrating teen. He can't deny the proof when he's older. Ha ha...I still love that face you give him when you just want to, as you say, "thump him in the nose." Classic. PS I am not singing the Circle of Life like your mom, cause let's face it, I'm screwed too.
