Piano recital and horseback riding

So this weekend was good. Layla had her first ever piano recital. She liked it and wasn't nervous at all. I have no photos of it because we were crammed in her piano teacher's living room and I was sitting two feet away from her while she played so it would have been a close up of her face and really... I've got thousands of those. Anyway, I'm super proud of her and she was pretty proud of herself so that's all good.

After the recital we had Jada and Zara's birthday party. They had a horse for the kids to ride and they all loved it. Well, almost all of them loved it. Gage just walked around texting and ignoring people. Someone said he should ride the horse and he said no. The minute I heard him say no I decided he was so gonna ride the horse. He fought it for a minute but finally said okay. There was a step stool to help climb up and he totally fell off of it. I still don't know how he did it... all I know is I turned away for one second and when I looked back and he's lying flat on his back laughing like a fool. He tried to walk away but I made climb back up. I still don't know why I made him but I did... and he was thrilled. Can't you tell?

Layla climbed right up and loved every second of it.

Birthday girl Jada.
