Just a little update

So Nick was home this week and that meant no talking to anyone in the outside world unless your kid plays on Gage's baseball team. We spent the week together... just the four of us. Here's a little recap.

-Watched Layla freak out over the swim test that she knows she can pass. She failed. She is just like her mother, poor kid. High pressure situations are not her thing. Luckily they changed the rules this year and if you can swim at all you can go down the water slide and seeing as how this is all Layla does the whole time we're there she was in heaven.

-Watched buttloads of baseball and loved every minute. Gage has gotten so much stronger in the last year it's like watching a different kid play... except he doesn't look like a kid anymore. After one of the games I went over to say goodbye to him and I had to actually lift up his hat to look at his face because I didn't think it was him. There was a teenager standing there. Weird.

-Went to the Drive-In. It was pretty empty but of course the loud mouth weird guy parked right next to us. He talked about the lightening through the entire movie... very loudly. Speaking of lightening, it was pretty freaking cool. It started raining about halfway through the movie so we watched from inside the van but right at the end it started pouring... like buckets and buckets so we left. Still fun.

-Spent all of Friday morning at the doctor's office which turned into a trip to the hospital for Gage. He's fine and if you want to know the story you'll have to ask. I will just say there is a possible surgery in his near future that he is not looking forward to!

-Spent hours and hours with my husband, my wonderful, sweet, awesome husband, doing a whole lot of nothing. Bliss.
